Just curious, does the Top Boost do something the Super V can't?

Today I a/b'd the Super V against the Top Boost. The Top Boost has way more gain and is a more modern high gain tone. The Super V is much more vintage in flavor, with less gain.


I also a/b'd the KH-1 against the Blackface. The KH-1 seemed like a Blackface with less gain and a little less bright.

Bye Bye KH-1.

I don't understand all the Top Boost hate. I get a pretty good tone out of it. It seems to have scooped mids. I can get a big bottom if I tone down the highs.

It's all about what you like, the tone, the feel. Get rid of the one you use the least.
