Played side by side, I think my Brahma just blows away the Plexi module. So, should I just chuck the Plexi?

Accordingly, I've heard people say that the Super V is THEE best Vox sounding module. Where does that leave the Top Boost?

So, my question is: Which modules have been made redundant by newer modules, or even modded ones? Which modules simply aren't worth your time, considering you'll eventually purchase the best sounding module for whatever tone you choose?

direct answer: Top Boost = available. Super V = discontinued.

You could sell your Plexi or send it off for modding.

I have a self modded Top Boost and I think it sounds better than the stock Super V anyway....Tried em side by side....The Top Boost, if tweaked right and having reduced gain, can really jangle with some balls...A whole lotta shakin' goin' on!

I think alot of people overlook these modules..the high-gainer guys probabaly see no use for them.
But imho, you can get some great tones out of both the Top Boost or SuperV. I wish the SuperV hadnt been discontinued. I like mine alot.
And if ya really want to have a religious experience..get Salvation's MatchVox mod done to your TopBoost..
I cant think of how it could be done better. Geez...that particular module is amazing. Listen to the clips.
And fwiw..I like and Respect Brian May..but forget that ..just listen to the Matchvox mod regardless of the BM options..its an insanely good sound.
