Wow!!! Just got a quad of these for 40 bucks 8) (from someone who didnt like them in their Blackstar?) Anyway, I've put them in as a full quad and then paired them up with Groove Tube KT88's on the outside- these are definitely the best EL34's out there! Very balanced, 3D sounding and excellent mids- Also, I've noticed better note definition, especially with Marshall type modules... Looks like the price of these is ridiculous though- (Running up to 150 bucks a quad?) but if you get the chance to run these in your RM100, do it!

I have a pair in my RM50C, and have been running a Plexi and SL+ in there.
Sounds pretty good so far, but haven't had the chance to try it out at band practice, just at home.

Svetlana =C= EL34 is imo 'the best' EL34.
Nice upper mid crunch like no other tube has!
E34L for more low end.
KT77 for 'bigger' and 'bolder' less agressive sound.

I have 4 in my RM100. I keep trying other mix and matches but always go back to all 34's.

The Winged C's are indeed killer tubes. The price hike does suck though.

Nice score on your part!

I'm interested in trying some EL34's and I keep seeing these mentioned. Are you guys talking about these:

Yep- those are the ones! Still blown away by these.... As mentioned...they have have a killer upper mid crunch sound and excellent clarity that pair perfect with Marshall type tones.
