xtc gain loss?

last night i modded my xtc by putting in a orange 600v .01 uf cap
and it seems as if i lost some gain, and i don't know what the problem could be. any help is very much appreciated

If it's a .01 uf cap, then your value is way to large. The module comes standard with .0022. You shouldn't need to go any higher than .0033. Were you intending to tighten up the low end? If so, you need to go .001, not .01.

You are referring to C1 right? (C3 on most of the other modules)
