My band's latest song...Fifth Place Trophy

Nah, nah, nah. Not what I meant! I hope you know that. I enjoyed the tune and especially like the title. I always wanted a Fifth Place Trophy. :D I might actually win one if four other guys entered a guitar competition.

I generally dig your stuff and this is no different - I dig it. One question, did you play the solo? I liked it a lot, don't take me wrong, but it didn't have the "Fig feel" to it. If it was you, it was definitely outside your box. Again, well done.

    RM50 Combo just blew!

^ This. It's quite possible you'll spend more time and money chasing a gremlin than it's worth.

    RM50 effects loops

The loops on the RM series amps are line level. I've never tried that pedal, but I'm guessing that's your issue.

Need module suggestions for good cleans and good high gain

Debatable. I'd say The Judge module probably goes for a touch more because they were among the last produced and there are probably fewer of them out there. That said, the 1987 Ian module is in that same class, imo. I understand you're not in the financial position to purchase modded modules...

Need module suggestions for good cleans and good high gain

Ah, forgot the Top Boost and Super V modules. I didn't really care for those, but that might be what you're looking for.

Need module suggestions for good cleans and good high gain

Mr. Scary has always been atop my list of stock modules, but The Judge might be more up your alley if you prefer Friedman. As far as the clean goes, the Clean and Blackface modules always were my stock favorites, but that's not the Vox you're looking for and I think you'd be hard pressed to find...

    WTB RM4

No, I'm not 100%. The reason I said 25 is because Bruce had me quote the chassis for the run and he asked me to quote 25. He certainly could have had more built as he went with his original source.

    RM1250: SOLD

Do these things take up 7 or 8 spaces in a rack?

    WTB: Dual Channel Modules

I'm still looking for a clean module: T/D, D/D, DLX, whatever it's labeled - as long as it's a clean PCB. I will also consider buying gain modules as part of a good deal. I'm generally willing to pay $250 for a stock dual channel module. The clean module is currently my main priority. Heck...

    Robs Tweeds

I'm happy to hear you like your Tweed. Rob's Tweed is quite nice. It fills a tonal gap that I had since the beginning of my modular journey. Congrats on your new module!

    AngelE

This is definitely an issue of some sort. It's been some time since this has been plugged in, I'm just getting back to playing after a year of moving and remodeling. Crap happens with this stuff, I'm going to email Antonin tomorrow and see what he thinks. Maybe I'll send him this module and a...

    AngelE

Well, I wish I could help, but my Angel E has a real bad howling issue. :? I've spent the last hour messing with it, but All I get is a howl - Volume down on the guitar, volume up, guitar unplugged, three tube changes... So, mine looks like it DOES need help. I'm blaming you.

    AngelE

The dual channel is your standard Angel E, but Channel B is wired as if the "Balls switch" were engaged.

    AngelE

I'll try and reproduce your settings as best as I can. The only variance will be most of my pickups are Vintage Hot style (that and my Angel E is dual channel). The hottest pickups I have installed in any of my guitars are BKP Nailbombs and I'm not going to do a pickup swap for you today...

My wife would kill me if I fired up the amp this early, so I can't speak specifically for this particular module. I can make a blanket statement that module volumes do vary. I can check this out later, if you like.

    Mod50 RM50 Chassis Differences

It's been a long time since I played an RM50, but the price difference comes from the following: Hand made in USA over mass produced import, Dual channel module capability and higher quality parts throughout. Tone is all in the ears of the beholder, but you certainly get what you pay for here.
