    RM100 / G-Major Users - Help!

Check the input trim value on the G-Major. I also run my modules around noon, but don't have the clipping problem. It's been about a year since I set up the two, so I don't remember if I had any issues right off the bat. Thomas

    Modded Ultra clips

From Ultra 'gain' to Ultra 'versatile' in fell swoop. Excellent soudning work!! Thomas

    settling in to my MTS

Yeah, you *might* be able to rock out a little. Just a little though. j/k That set-up sounds like it could smash some heads! Thomas

    Unwanted noise from Ultra module.

I run a Comp pedal in front of the Ultra with minimal comp'ing and about maximum level out put. That seems to help with the noise since I can now keep the gain to about noon and still get max-overkill-way-too-much distortion out of the module. Thomas

    Egnater M4

To carry with what Ugg was saying... If you want flexibility, go with the Switchblade. If you are more budget minded, then check out VooDoo Labs GCX ($350-$400 street). It only does serial looping (whereas SwitchBlade can do parallel), but it has 8 loops also. One drawback to the GCX is that...

Modern Module - voicing / amp basis?

I think it is a Randall original, not based on anything. But I could be wrong.

First rehearsal with RM100M and Ultra module!!!

GtrGeorge, Love my Ultra, hate the noise. Lately I've been driving the snot out of the input with a clean boost and keeping the gain knob < noon. Seems to help quite a bit. Although the majority of my Ultra's noise was from KRLD, a local AM station. This set-up may still do you some good...

interesting new modification I'm playing with

Could you do a 'super-mid-sweep' mod that is what you have described plus adding a 2 or 3 way switch for adjusting the Q of the mid band? That would be pretty sweet.

What power amps do you use for your RM4

I use my RM50 combo. That and a little mixer and an ABY switcher. Lots of cords running everywhere like a big pile of black plastic, noise inducing spaghetti, which is why I'm saving up for a Switchblade.

Is it possible to retro-fit an ME to RM50/100?

Just kinda curious. I don't see why not, but you never know. Thomas

Bogner has new amps with Line6

Went to Line6.com the other day and saw that Bogner has a new line of amps built in conjunction with Line6. They have a multi-part video interview with Bogner and a Line6 guy that goes over Bogner's personal and professional history. Pretty interesting stuff in there. But on to what you...

    Ultra Mod

I'd have to agree with ya on that one. My stock Ultra is a touch loose in the low end (especially in drop D) for my tastes. My parametric eq has a 80Hz HP on it that I leave engaged and that gets me just about exactly where I want to be. I still have Pea-lenty of depth, without being too...

    Avenged Sevenfold's new record

Going from Critical Acclaim on the MS page I'd say the Recto. I think that the Grail is also has a rectified tone to it (I've never played one, just going by other peeps). So a Grail could do the trick, but to me Critical Acclaim is definitely a rectifier of some kind. That's my $.02 Thomas

    video of my tone

Sounds pretty good. It has a good driving feel to it. I think it will be the cause of many a speeding ticket. Cut yourself shaving? j/k Thomas

    Speaker eliminator/emulator

Is there any kind of doo-dad that can be plugged into the speaker out jack on a head/combo to use for direct recording? In other words, swap the speaker for the doo-dad. I work nights so I'm up at the wee hours and would like to be able to record with out getting the neighbors all upset. Thomas
