cool to hear i really want an XTC too someday

i had a BBE332 sonic maximizer unit that i wanted to try out with the RM100M normally that amp is pretty low noised even with the modules fully cranked but when i putt the BBE in the loop it gets noisy like my old randall solid state RH100 with gain up the BBE makes the sound really better but...

yeah have the very same problem but i don't switch too often but it already bothers me when ABtesting modules and settings

yes that's what it sounds like i played it all night long yesterday i just wish it had about "2hours" more gain cause i have to run the gain at almost full overall it sounds very good very Mesa like love it i'll never let that one go again thx again Mike for the deal Andy

hi i'd just like to know what C3 value cap the Grail has i can't read it on the actual cap in my grail just says something 500 +- 5% i think that means the voltage... but i wanna know if its 1pF, 2.2pF or 4.7pF find it also interesting that it's not a classic orange drop cap... greetz Andy

why do you jump on me i just expressed my thoughts i believe there is a difference if an amp is built to use just 2 tubes and has just 2 sockets or if the amp is built to use 4 tubes and has 4 sockets thatfor...

i don't like the ElectroHarmonics tubes other people do i like the JJ tubes better it will not void the warranty in any way as long it's the same tube type (they are both Ecc83) no chance your tubes are soldered you just have to unplug themfrom the ceramic socket (are a bit strong but ok) and...

...what do you expect running the amp with just 2 tubes... :roll:

hi , nice to have you here that noise probably comes from the crappy stock EH tubes in the amp and modules mine was pretty noisy too in the beginning(i even could hear russian a radio station on some settings...) then i swapped them all for quality ECC83s from JJ now it's quiet and i believe it...

i also had a quite noisy Ultra i changed the EH tubes in the module for JJ ones wich sorted it out sounds better now too andy

noise-supressors and gates are the type of "effect" that always must go through the SERIES LOOP to work properly but i'd bet it is one of the tubes just swap around a bit

you CAN program the FX loop usage with the channels at Randall but just not at the MTS Series... it is possible with the XL Series (V2 and T2 heads) though (this is one point at my wishlist for my perfect MTS series amp)
