Well just wanted to post about it for the ones who may be interested in MTS stuff and who doesn't dare to make the move ! I traded my CAE 3+se preamp for a RM4, I use a Mesa 2:90 as poweramp and MM Luke guitar. my modules are Blackface, top boost, Recto, GRAIL, SL+ and xtc. I admit that it...

I guess Blackface for sparky clean tones! (I really dig it much) top boost is cool too with gain set low.

Well, I tried both S2 switches and no current goes out thru midi in... I tested with multimeter, nothing! I tested all the fuses, all are ok. so I need a hand on this case please... Best regards and happy new year Christophe

Well in fact, it was ... it tears it's mother 8) ...don't ask me why :lol: by the way I think the blackface is the first module to have... I'm still re-building my rack setup and I' can't wait to try the whole rig with effects...

If you're lookin for a clean, get the blackface, this module kills! as we say here in France : "?a dechire sa m?re!!!" :lol: very sparkling clean.

well you need a good power amp to get the live tone, and a 4x12 would help. I haven't tried the Randall RT 250 but my mesa 2:90 sounds pretty well and has cool switching features (DEEP and MODERN) a tube head will always sound better because preamp and amp share the same trannie so it sounds...

hello I'd say also check each side plastic guide (the little plastic racks that allows you to guide the module inside the beast) I purchased my used RM4 and one was missing inside... by the way I posted a topic to know where I can find another one... also check the 2 metal frontside grips...

I picked up a used RM4 preamp, and I noticed that on the CH1 slot, there's the left side rack guide is missing (the little plastic guide to slip in the module) Can you tell me where I can find another one? maybe Rich or Steve can tell? Best regards Chris

I've tested this recto module I got yesterday (the same, no black stripe) and it sounds awful to my ears, I think it's because of the tube that may need to be swaped?
