So I was considering selling my RM100. I had recently just left my band and was considering scaling down to a 2x12 combo like mesa express or even a Twin reverb.

But the more time I spent with it, the less inclined I was to lose this thing. For lack of a better term. It's the mr. Potato head of amplifiers.

Any tubes (almost), any preamp, plus its so easy to bias you can do it on stage if you wanted.

Why isn't this amp talked about more often? I don't even see it that much in NYC stores at all.

I'm guessing its because Randall is only considered cool among metal, while most other genre musicians don't really pay that much attention to it.

yeah i 'm not sure why its not more popular either, its by far the most powerful thing i've ever heard and any tone can be had from it, it is the mr. potato head for sure

LMAO with the Mr Potato Head reference!
I found about mts totally by accident. I was in G/C playing an AC30 one day and complaining to one of the guys about how bad the clean channel sucked in my 5150 and he had me play an Egnater Tourmaster rig. It sounded ok but I got home and googled Engater, discovered mts, bought an RM100 a few weeks later and been addicted ever since.

Randall needs better marketing.

It's even worse in the UK.

Hardly anyone stocks Randall... period.

My nearest MTS stockist is about 300 miles away. Sure, there are others that will get the stuff in if I place a deposit but that's no good when you want to try before you buy.

From what I can gather, the UK distribution is the problem. It's just not marketed over here... at all.

It's hard to find a Randall dealer in western Canada, let alone who actually stocks the stuff...

I had to try out the Lynch Box head in Chicago when I was there in August!
