I have a newer "revised" Blackface module that I want to tweak. It doesn't have "the cap" that changes the bottom end in the location shown on the older board revs. So I can't do the .001, .0022, .0047 swap, as indicated on the mod pages.
Another thing I would like to do is tame that piercing high voicing a bit. I do like the module, but I would like to voice it a tad darker. Any fellow tweaker's have any ideas? Thanks, Mike

The cap is still there, it's just been moved. Email a pic of the board to me at okstrat(at)cox.net and I'll tell you what to change. The clean modules don't really benefit from changing that cap out as much as the plexis and above, in my opinion. It affects the feel and tightness of high gain more than anything.

I swapped every poly cap with Mallory 150's, about four in that module. So i probably got it wherever it was moved. I think I found the solution though! While trying to get the boost function to work, I noticed the Blackface smoothed out nicely when the power tubes started to clip. I also am going to add an Alesis Nanoverb in the loop when It gets here, so that should smooth things out even more. BTW the boost function sucks in my amp, but one thing at a time bro. Thanks, Mike
