I like Dimarzio evolutions in basswood guitars. Also, if you are wanting something less 'hot', I've had good luck with Dimarzio Freds and Air Nortons.

I heard the EVO 2 is even better than the Evolution- not as hot(ice-pickish) and is very crunchy and can clean up nice as well? Any comment on this and also thanks for your reply 8)

I also heard a Mo Joe would be great- not nearly as hot as the EVOs and still crunchy enough but very clean and cutting lead tone- thanks for anyones input on this

I put a set of Suhr Aldridge pups in my Wolgang. If you like high gain but really smooth sound these are fantastic.
