Dual/Mono Switch and Modded Modules

I did a search and after 6 or 7 pages still couldn't find the answer. The switch means that you can flick a switch on the front panel to use the two channels of a dual channel Egnator module in a Randall amp? Can the module be modded so that the two positions are different voicings (such as a Soldano on one side and a high gain Marshall on the other)?
