The 1087 is a totally different voicing than other modules (including the 1086)

Things I love about it:
1/2 driven audioslave groovy kind of riffs- great wholesome quality
Leads- I pull off shred riffs with this module like no other

and here's a big one I just discovered:
low low tunings- I have 7 string epiGoth tuned to drop A and this module delivers sinister clarity better than any other in my collection- I've owned dozens over the last year and this one beats them all for low tuned brutality

negative: play in standard E, put the eq at noon and you will wonder why there's a lot of hype- this standard starting position can trick some, be prepared to move those dials

That's what I'm wondering too, both are in the works for me (I hope :? )

Very true. I was playing my Jackson King V with 10 gauge strings tuned to D and it sounded good, but lacked something. It wasn't strong/powerful enough. It wasn't heavy enough.

The other day i got it restrung with 12's tuned to C and the module came alive. It sounded 110% better. I never thought strings could make such a big difference. I'm glad i went with the 12's instead of the 11's or 10-52's.

I played a Sinlge Rect when i went up to the shop to pick up my guitar, and it sounded amazing. It had what the 1087 was lacking. But now i know that was likely b/c of the strings. I still like the Recto, but the 1087 now satisfies all my wants. But i still may get a recto module mod'd eventually. But for now, the 1087 will suffice.

thats great to hear dan. still alot of other people hurting out there and things for them probably wont get better for some time. which sucks. but i love hearing about people doing well. its a good motivator, for us still stuck in the grind so to speak.
