How can I add a decent mic to my amp review recordings?
I only have a Digital camera for the video, I have no fancy sound/video card in the computer, but do have a Line 6 gold DI for sound.
I like to do thorough reviews on amps, because most guys don't know where to put a mic, stand between the mic and amp, or just play one setting on the amp.
I set the camera just off axis so it gets good sound projection, but cannot push much volume or it clips the little pin sized mic. Hence my videos all sound thin.. And it is difficult to get far enough away from the camera so you don't just hear my 'string slap' on the guitar itself at low volumes.
