I got my RM50, now I have to wait for modules...waiting sux

I sold my RM20 to get an RM50 combo. It got here yesterday, it looks killer, and sounds great with my Mako Mak4, now I just have to wait for my modules to get here. Probably another week...I just have no paitence. But with the modules I have on order, and the speaker it should kick some major ***!!!!!!!

I have a Scumback XH75-LHDC speaker, and Salvation Chupacabra, SG XTC, and Diablo all on their way. Now I have to decide what tubes. It got the amp with 6L6s, but I usually prefer EL34s, so I put some spare EL34s in there, and biased it up. The external bias is great!!! I also have some KT88s. I only tried the 88s in one amp, and I didn't really get along with them.

Anyone else waiting for modules??

I too have 4 Salvation mods in the works.

For the Chupacabra and the Diablo I recommend the 6L6's and I personally like the 6L6's or 6550 over the EL34's for my SG XTC LE as well.

Thanks for the tube advice. I will be trying all the power tube types, and a few speakers to get the best setup that I can. Once that is all sorted out I will be selling a lot of extra gear!!!

I hate it when you have tracking numbers, but don't see any progress when you track.

That has to be one of those overseas knockoff copies- which could be quality as when the flood happened in Tenn, Gibson sent their stuff to Asia and the plans were promptly copied and distributed using the same Gibson name; ie DH gate

Before I bought it I sent the pics with the S/N to Gibson, and they verified that it is authentic!!!!

I have heard stories about people getting smoking deals before, this is the first time I actually got one. I was basically the first person with cash. I don't know why he sold it so cheap it is in great shape, and plays very nice!!!!

On a serious note: Make sure it's not hot. I bought a USA Fender P bass from Guitar Center used once for $200 and a week later I got a call from the police. Guitar Center made it all good, but the cops told me that I was lucky. Usually when you buy something stolen and it's identified, you end up holding the bag. Just a little FYI.

So the plot thickens. I got a call from the guy who sold me the guitar asking to buy it back. The whole story is that he was suposed to sell his room mates Epiphone les paul to cover some rent, he sold the gibson by accident. His room mate is pissed, so I am going to let him buy it back.

My weekend is officially ruined...I was suposed to get my XTC, and Diablo on Monday, but they came last night, so I have to change my plans so that I can play with my new toys :twisted:

I fired them up for a bit last night, and that XTC is tits!!!!
