i am considering this upgrade too. did you guys notice much of a difference after the upgrade??
the amp will over all sound alot clearer. giving the appearance of more and tighter gain. the output tranny helps the most. the chock is definitely necessary to handle the bigger iron. the trannies will need aprox 30 hrs to completely burn in. you will hear this in stages from time to time whne your playing.
dont be surprised once your playing, 10 mins later it sounds weird adn have to readjust your settings.

I was wondering are there upgrades like this for the RM4 and RT2/50?
nothing like this can be done to the rm4, but the rt2-50 is a different story. currently to my knowledge transformers are not available for the randall power amp. but talking to MM about this, they would be willing to r&d them if someone were to supply the iron from their rt2-50 for the prototypes
