I always turn down the mid I think the distortion sounds so much better when the mid is out

It's weird how tone is subjective tho..I hated my 1086 and couldn't get rid of it fast enough.It didn't seem to do either of the things it was billed to do that well i.e. plexi type crunch and modern mesa type distortion.

yeah,it was the exact same for me too.bought the 1086,two different times,in a one year period.never seemed to "do it" for me,at all...yet,i kept reading threads,on here,how guy's were "blown away" by its tone and loved the module...wild,how our tastes differ!!! :shock:
