What module do you guys think would be best for that Jack White (white stripes) crunch? I know he uses a silvertone or 2 twin reverbs, and a big muff, but I'm not sure if the big muff is the only place where the overdrive comes from. Anyways! Just wanted to know what you guys thought. Thanks!

The sound you hear coming from jack White has ALOT to do with his Z-Vezz Fuzz Factory pedal. Let me say this" Jack is talented, and I really like what he does..so its no slight to him...but....
that distortion you hear from him is very definetly a Z-Vexx Fuzz factory pedal. Try one. You could put it into any low gain module and it sounds like a barely controllable distortion. In fact..it is difficult to control.
I give Jack White alot of credit..most people can't handle that box. It likes to get away from you. But hey, thats fun for people like me.
PS: Did I say I was a tone nut...oh yeah..I admit it.

Its better to get your own thing happening. Jack White is certainly a good place to start, though.

Thanks for the input. I know for a fact he uses a big muff. You're right he does get that fuzz sound from the big muff for a number of songs. But a lot of his earlier work was done with a silvertone and he cranks an old twin reverb. I just got a DLX module and with the gain cranked I can get a pretty similar sound.

I hear what you are saying but I would swear that he using a ZVexx Fuzz face on "Icky thump".
I have played a number of BigMuffs and they are a cool sound. But they dont sound at all like that.
Have you played a ZVexx?
