Ok so I picked up this Krankenstein Jr. Stack after liking the Rev. Jr. so much. This thing is 50w of brutally monstrous tone! I put Tung-Sol 5881's for the power tubes , a tung-sol for the clean side of the preamp, and a mix of JJ's and the stock Ruby's for the rest of the pre-amp tubes.

Man, this thing is aggressive and full. I gave it a few months to really learn it, and after a couple weeks, really started to appreciate it more and more. It takes on different characteristics with different guitars/pickups, which I feel is a great attribute. I got the (2) 1x12 Rev. Jr cabs to set it on. It has an eminence Legend v12 16 ohm stock. I replaced the bottom cab with an eminence swamp thang. The stack now has bottom end for days, but so punchy, dark, and cutting all at the same time.

Love this stack, highly recommended for Hard Rock, Metal/Heavy Metal

I really have alot of appreciation for this amp, they stand behind their work with a lifetime warranty.
Really has an awesome feel and tone.
Thanks for the kind words. Ive been after one of these a while also, till I pulled the trigger.

Lunati your making me LOONEY!!!
I love the idea of this mini stack so much. Like Ive
said before I nearly invested in one of these amps
before getting my first RM20. I am sure it really kicks!
I only worried about the head being too compact and
hard for a tech to work on if needed and the cabs
didnt have enough room for the speakers to really
push.
But in my heart its a 50 watt 2x12 mini stack that
should be plenty of amp for nearly any show!
I feel the need to do some used market searches for
one!!

You're really gonna hate me now!
I actually took the chassis out of the head when I first got it. (A must to change power tubes). I did it in a few minutes. I also inspected the head construction and tolex job. Both top notch. Underneath the chassis is very clean and neat. Super quality parts, looks like military grade. The metal chassis is overkill thickness. Really built bullet proof.. and I'm no amp tech, but I have soldered before. This looks way easier space-wise to work on than a MTS module.
For the cabs. They are built out of poplar solid wood instead of birch plywood. Which really makes it POP! or cut for a better word. It brings alot of punch and presence compared to birch. (I still love birch, with my other 2 cabs). But these cabs offer me a totally different sound. 1 speaker is a 150w eminence swampthang, the other is the stock eminence v12 legend 120w. So they're built to handle the big brother 120w head also. They sound much larger than they are. I have compared them with other 1x12's . They just sound awesome and huge, and aren't that big.

I have the 120 lplus head and it smokes....For as cool as the modules were, they just couldnt hang with the real deal...I a/b'd them extensively trying to match them...they have a similar vibe/feel,but the head is just so much thicker and ominous sounding, but still very articulate...there stuff is built well.I have the 4x12 too...didnt like the texas heats, but the cab is killer....setup sounds almost as good a a real stereo when dialed in right.......When we start doing shows again I will probably use it over the MTS stuff, dont know yet,,,I got into the mts stuff right before we stopped playing live and never took it to a show becasue this amp is so killer....
