Mesa Mark V

anyone own the Mesa Mark V ? I am thinking about downsizing my rig

right now I am using clean, tweed, Marshall and Mesa tones anyway in my RM4

any thoughts?

If i were to leave my Randall gear for another, it would be a Mark V. It is really versatile and easy to use. I play on one in the studio where i work and love it. You do have to get used to the somewhat backwards tone stacking, in which the EQ is before the gain, but once you get used to that, it is a dream to play. So yeah i'd say it would be a good trade.

I used to have a Mark IV combo. Needless to say, I sold it. Through a 4x12 it sounded great, but as an open-back combo, it was all bark, no articulation. Something about Mesa combos doesn't sound right. However, head through a good 2x12 or 4x12 cab is a whole different story.
