Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and was wondering if Dave Friedman is still doing the MTS module mods. Does he have a website or any contact info? I can't seem to find anything.

I've heard he does a good job on the Brahma module.

Are there any other modder's out there that do a good Brahma mod?

Also, are there any mods available for the MTS Deluxe module?

Thanks in advance.

Bob-

You can shoot Dave a PM on Rig Talk. Yes, he still does work on the mods. If I remember, the basic mod cost $100.

as for for fender, I'd send it to Rob at Jaded Faith-

Here is Dave's section at Rig-Talk. He still does the mods to
modules. I have emailed him recently and he responds pretty
quick but dont expect to answer in great detail. I have his
Brahma mod and its a great all around tone. It was done to a
plexi module but Im sure most others work fine. As far as I know
he offers base mods at $129. Mods he does is the Brown Eye,
Hairy Brown Eye, SLO, XTC, Black Eye, C45 and Recto.
As far as your clean module goes, many love Jaded Faiths
Super Clean and OD Special.

Thanks for the help Ross & Big.
I sent Dave an email to find out what he can do to my Brahma.

I'll check Jaded Faith out too for the deluxe mod.

Thanks again.

What does Friedman do that is SLO like to a module? Or is that a typo?
Thats something Ive noticed is that his popular mods to modules get all
the rave. Brown Eye, Hairy Brown Eye, and C45. He will do many more
mods by request from what I understand and there are lots of people
that have modded stuff from the top modders that dont use this forum
to rave about their tone.

So do you have a Soldano type tone from Dave? Where is your SLO module from? So many questions I know!

What kind of mods do the Brahma owners here have?

I love the sound of the BE/C45.

Can Dave do the Brahma mod plus add the BE/C45?

Well to me, the brahma stock is great. That said, I look forward to my friedman correct spec Brahma when I get it. I remember Friedman saying something to the effect that he could not jam all his mods in one module so not sure if that is HBE/BE or BE/C45.. i bet brewtus knows.

No my Soldano mod was done by a forum member. Its killer. I am
looking at getting a DF SLO in the future for comparison.

From what DF told me he can put two mods in one. Not sure about the
three. Last I knew he charges $169 for two in one. I am dying to try his
C45. I just sold the Brown Eye I have. I like it and the tone is similar to
the Brahma mod but the latter is brighter and clearer. Much more suited
to my taste.

Yeah I love that C45 tone too.
Maybe I'll see if I can get the Brahma mod with the C45. That would be killer!

I would vote that it would be great too. Explain how the C45 compares to
the BE? I know it is more of a vintage tone.

BE needs to be Plexi platform

HBE needs to be a SL+ platform

so that why DF can't do both BE & HBE on the same module

Sorry man, I haven't heard the C45 or the BE enough to compare them to each other. I just know what I've heard recently from researching youtube, here, etc., I love the tone.
I'm new to the module thing.

The C45 is in IMO alot like the "haze" switch on the JF59RR - Normally
the BE is killer for rythm but needs a little push for leads

The C45 mod changes the BE gain/tone structure so its more lead
friendly kinda like crunch/lead channels

The Freidman SLO is based on the Randall Scary . There were threads ages ago in which stated that the original Brahmas and Scary's were specd wrong .
Maybe the new production models fixed this but it basically a tweaked to a Scary .The Black eye I believe is a hotter more aggresive HBE
