Playing Saturday, low volume, all of a sudden the Treadplate Module in bay 2 drops volume, almost completely. When I cranked the module volume all the way, I could 'hear it' like someone walked off down the street with it somewhere.
The other two worked fine, pulled it, reinstalled it, same thing. had to leave the house.
Sunday, was going to swap modules to see if it was the module itself or the bay, turned the amp on to "check it", and it worked fine.
Could it be the preamp tube for that bay?
I had used the amp just a couple of times since I got it Monday, with no issues.
I looked all over for those Mesa Preamp tubes I've had for 10 years, and am pretty sure I got rid of them last month during cleaning (you know, I've had these 10 years and never needed them so let's get rid of them now, before i need them)
