Hey lads here is my dilema.

I Have an Rm50 and I am trying to set up my digitech delay and dod eq pedals in my effects loop. Problem is my volume drops + my tone goes to poo when they are plugged in that way. My tone gets all mushy and seems to be breaking up.

I have read through some old threads as well as read the maual. The manual mentions "unity gain" when setting up the effects loop.

What is Unity Gain?
Is this why I am having issues?
And if so how do I get Unity Gain?

Any advice would be appreciated, keep it simple as I am but a simple man. :D

Thanks

Most stomp boxes are not made to go in the loop. Try them out front first.

That said you may have to change the volume/level on the pedals to keep the tone suckage down.

The only pedal I ran in the loop of my RM50 was a Keeley modded Line6 MM4.

It depends on the pedal you have. I tried various pedals through my RM 100, Dual Rectifier, and Bogner Uberschall. Some sounded nice but were either noisy or tone suckers and therefore I sold them off. They have now been replaced with high end pedals, most with true bypass. Anyway, I have my chorus/flanger, delay, and Hush pedals through the loop while my wah, overdrive, harmonist and phaser are through the front of the amp.

Okay after a little tweaking I have it singing.

It was a matter of getting the volumes set correctly between the modules and amp.

:D
