Been looking at the MTS and XL cabs but I've seen the older cabs made fo the G2 series with V30's going for less then half the price of the XL cabs. Would the older cabs sound just as good for live use? The only difference that I can see is that the older ones dont have the mic eliminator.

Thanks.

Just asking cos I noticed they changed the ohms of the speakers from the old to new cabs and a few other small things

Thanks.

I'm curious too.

I just picked up a R212CS cab but it must be an older version cuz it doesnt have the mic eliminator.
I'm not sure of the ohmage either because it doesnt list it. I'm assuming it is 8 ohms because it has 2 16ohm V30 speakers.

The stereo jack is broken, does anyone know where I could get a replacement? It's not a typical jack so maybe it's a Randall design?

The G2 serices cabs never had V30's, they were Celestion Seventy-80's. I would double check w/ the seller because they may not know what they have in the cab. The Celestion Seventy-80's are a good speaker closer to the sound of a GT75, but if you looking for V30 tone, this isn't what you'll want.

As far as a replacement Mic Elimnator you can contact your local Randall dealer OR contact customer service [email protected]
