I need to return a RM100 head for service.

Does anyone know if there are any authorized service shops in S.E. PA?

I would prefer not to send it to the factory but if I have to I will.

Anyone that returned their amp to the factory, what was the turn around time?

Thanks.

sorry to hear; one of the best amp techs in the area is Jim Walton in northeast philly; don't know if he does warranty work; he's usually backed up a couple weeks but will expedite for a small fee. 215-342-7327

It's not a big deal really...but thanks :)

I've been dealing with the midi switching problem for a few months now. I got a great deal on a used RM100 with 3 modules and couldn't pass it up. Though, when I got it (bought it on E-Bay) it was not in as good condition as it showed in the auction. Luckily, it worked. So for the price I paid, I couldn't complain.

Not until a month or two later did I discover the midi switchng didn't work. After e-mailing Randall many times for months, I received a replacement midi board. I haven't been able to get it working so I'm just going to have a repairman take a look at it.

Unless...someone here wants to buy it AS IS. I will make you a GREAT DEAL. :)

I have another RM100 and other amps so I can be without it for a short time.

Thanks for the info!

I too bought a used RM100 with a list of issues off eBay. Again, it was a good deal. I ended up sending it to Randall and it was back in a month. They had no record of ever getting the package and I was getting scared, but then it shows up after work one day good as new!

That being said, I am in Central NJ. What kind of deal will you make on this? I have an RM50 head that's mint I would swap you for it straight up. Looking for a second RM100 so I can do all my switching from one board and leave one at practice and one here for gigging. Shoot me a PM and lets talk.

I talked to Jim about this very problem. He said he never worked on it before, but he would look at it. References are all great on this guy. Downside is he said I would need to drop it off and then there was a 3 week wait...I wanted to know if I could wait the 3 weeks, then driop it off, but he doesn't work that way....I can't be without this amp for that long, so i bought a powered pedalboard

Hey Rob,

Thanks for the offer but I would prefer to sell. I'm getting an RM-4 instead.

I sent you a PM so let me know what you think.

take the amp out of the chassis and turn all the midi dip switches off, then on again. if that doesn't work...it is because someone blew the fuse on the midi board most likely by turning on the amp, then plugging in the midi cable.

call customer service at 847-643-5120 for your needs. they can help if you call. posting does nothing.

YOU MAY ONLY PLUG/UNPLUG MIDI with AMP OFF

That should be a sticker on the back of the amp. Otherwise, you blow a midi fuse in the head.

I did. They are mailing me the fuse. They are pretty decent guys I think.
