Hey Guys

I was given a RM100M that was not working. After a few searches, it seems that no voltage gets out of the main transformer.

It said that there is a built-in resettable thermal fuse in it, may be the one in cause ^^

Since it seems to be a pain in the ass to disassemble it, I wonder if somebody here ever did it and have some clues and advices...

Thanks!

Please do not take this the wrong way.
If you are asking that question, you should probably not go into the amp and start poking around. High voltage can kill you.
A thermal resetting fuse is self resetting. When it cools down, it "resets" and
allows current to flow.
First, check the mains fuse, the one that is under the voltage selector,
with the AC CORD DISCONNECTED. Even if it looks good, check it with a multimeter for continuity. It should read close to 0 ohms.
If the fuse is OK, and nothing lights up, it's service time.
There are a number of internal fuses. Does the power led by the on/off switch light?

Don't worry, I have enough skills in electronics to take care ( except I did not know that it was a self resettable fuse, my bad   )

I changed 3 fuses that have blowed and the amp still dont switch on. No led, no fan, no tubes heating.

OK, I think I have to check the connections between the AC input and the power transformer.....

Thanks for help ;)

OK I have to change the AC input, the fuse socket was completely broken by the former owner and I did not noticed...
