RM4 with Tech 21 midi mouse

How do you program tech 21 midi mouse with RM4? I have 2 RM4's..
One RM4 switches channels via patches only from 1-4 with the midi mouse, the other RM4 I have skips patches, from 1-4-8-12(?) when changing channels.. Is there a way to program the midi mate to switch channels on RM4 via patches 1-4 and 4-8? Novice on midi here, appreciate any help!

2 different footswitches. The MidiMate is a Rocktron product with 10 buttons & the Tech 21 Midi Mous is smaller 3 button footswitch. I am somewhat of a midi idiot, so cannot offer alot of great advice. The midi mouse seems similar to the Rocktron MidiXchange, a button for up, a button for down, & an activate button. There isn't any progamming on the pedal. I think it will involve setting your RM4s to OMNI. I am not sure how to do that tho.

So I opened up my RM4, there's a red swtich panel numbered 1-4 and another that are numered 1-2, are they all supposed to be up (ON) or down? appreciate any help!
