Hi there ,

I am new here but use a RM100 with standart modules for years ,

I have a question ,

I have some rack preamps as Bogner Fish and Soldano SP77 ,
I want to use them in RM100 ,
I will connect them from the series FX-Loop Return ,

Can I run it like this without the modules or the modules should be loaded?
I do not want to ruin my amp .

Or any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance ,

Hakan

The RM100 should run fine without modules.
And since the series return is behind the preamp you should get sound :)

Never tried to run a preamp in the series loop of the RM100 without modules. I am going to try this out. :)

Sounds fantastic....I've run RM100s and RM50s this way ever since discovering the RM4/M4....course I usully have modules in the head mostly but it's perfectly safe to leave 'em out.

Thanks anyway .

My opinion is that you need to try it out and let us know what you think. It should be totally fine. Are you running an additional effects processor? What does your signal chain look like? :)

Very nice...
Thinking it over, I thought I might suggest that if you have 3 modules to put into your RM100, I would. The reason is that the sensitive contacts and electrical components inside the amp are far more vulnerable to damage, contamination, and oxidization without modules in place. It was designed to function with the modules in place. Or maybe at least some kind of covers to protect the module bays. I would hate for you to be at a gig and get half a beer or something accidentally spilled into it. Or some ******* throws a cigarette butt into it. That would suck...
