Syn-2 12AX7

Anybody known what the tube in the Syn-2 is for, I don't see any reference to the 12AX7 in the manual.

It's the tube for the input gain stage. My Syn-1 has one too as well as my Syn-50. It basically boosts the guitar signal and gets it ready to send it to the preamp modules.

What BurnBackTime said. The platform is such that the first gain stage tube is not part of the modules but the unit you install the modules in.
