Ultra Lead + Ibanez JEM = love

Man...finally found the tone I was trying to get with the COD, XTC and EG3/4 and JEM....with my Ultra Lead module.

Was messing around trying to make all the others sing and should have known the Ultra Lead would do it best...it has sounded boxy with other guitars so it took me a while to get back to it.

Now to learn FTLOG..oh and some vibrato wouldn't hurt either .. lol :twisted:

i played a jem the other day through a joe satriani peavey jsx and was shocked from the feel of the guitar and the tone of the amp.now i have to figure out how to come up with the cash for the jem.i sold my rg570 custom but if it had a neck like that i would have kept it.any modules sound close to the peavey jsx? :?

how come i always feel my Ultra Lead doesn't hv enough gain n too depth... when i compare it with my 1086??

cuz the 1086 is thunderous and the best. I know what u mean. I cannot find another module to go with it and i have them all. they are all too boxy or not clear enough or not smooth enough etc.

Maybe try and get a higher gain tube for v1 and up the master volume a little too?

The Ultra Lead is very mid focussed though...doesn't seem to have a lot of other frequencies ... heh
