VHT Special 6 6V6 to EL84 Tube Adapter

Anybody know about these adapters as compared to Yellowjacket adapters? Will they work in the Randall MTS line? They're less than half the cost and the VHT brand is a definite plus.

I stand corrected. After some more research I found a few complaints about fried tubes and amps due to this adapter?.

This is correct, but I played one of those little "special 6" amps and that thing sounded really good. Better build quality from most of the other "budget" small tube amps.

That said, the "yellow jacket" thing never seemed like a good idea to me.

I actually own a special 6 and it really sounds awesome. It's really amazing for the money.
