ok i FINALLY got around to trying contact spray on the module and it had no effect at all. it's still doing the exact same thing... are there any other suggestions? and pete if i send it to you, would it be possible to have it fixed and modded with the jcm upgrade at the same time? or is it just...

i tried the eraser and it didn't help. i tried loosening the screws and having it in slightly like you said, and that's not doing anything at all. the pots all seem to do their job. the switch doesn't do anything at all though. just figured that out now is it possible that it could just be a...

drty connectors = not the problem

i've already replaced the preamp tubes with a different module i have tubes don't seem to be the issue at all i'll try cleaning the connectors now. but the problem happened when the module was IN the amp. so i'm thinkng that's probably not the issue it's not like i took it out and it didn't...

ok so i was jamming with a friend of mine last weekend and he's got the 100 watt mts combo and it constantly squeels. no matter what. switching the bright switch to the left helps aswell as turning down the gain. but it just constantly feeds back. i have the 100 watt head and mine doesn't do...

well as far as the tubes go you'll want to go with el34's for power tubes and 12ax7's for preamp tubes beyond that, if i remember correctly marshalls come stock with jj tubes, i could be wrong... i'm sure there's someone who can verify or disprove me, but i THINK it's jj brand tubes.

well when randall releases the kirk hammett module it sounds like we'll all have something very similar to the brown module. i hear it's what he's been using, so his signature module will probly sound pretty similar.
