    5751 in PI

They might be for now, but just imagine how much they would sky rocket if manufactures started using them. I've never seen any new production amp come with nos tubes that wasn't a boutique low quantity, made to order type deal. They want to use something in CURRENT production that is readily...

    5751 in PI

There aren't any quality new production 5751 tubes out there right now. They are very close to 12ax7 spec in every regard except output/gain. Considering the other common pre tubes, I guess you could say that that isn't too far off either being rated at 100 for 12ax7 and 70 for the 5751.

    Salvation Angel clip

The recordings here seem to sound better than the Engl amps I have played or owned in the past. My favorite Engl thus far has been the E530 preamp or the Savage. This seems capture everything I liked about both of those with more oomph and "it" factor. Considering these were at low volume is...

    Salvation Phish or Hilligan Snorkeler

I haven't owned a Salvation either, but the price and the shipping are big deterrents. The volume of different mods and options that Salvation offers is phenomenal, I can say that much. I'm sure they are quality products also. They just aren't worth it for everyone. I can get most of, if not...

    The Judge

Awesome, thanks for the replies. Still a very tempting mod to try out though. I may have to look into that and a plexi.... The SL+ doesn't quite cover some of the more classic sounds I'm looking for, and my Egnater DLX doesn't have the british flavor to cover that end of the mid gain stuff. I've...

    The Judge

I posted in one of the other Judge topics, but never got a reply. Would this be able to do any of those plexi clean sounds with the gain and/or volume rolled back?

    EVH heads

I am in the camp of preferring the original 5150 or even the 5152. The 3 is less aggressive and a hell of a lot more polished sounding (in a not good way imo.) I like the originals raw aggressive nature. It is just more in your face and a bit darker. They both have a similar base sound, loads of...

This module had already been bought and paid for.

WANT TO BUY...Sacred Groove modded SL+

Modern mode has a more asymmetrical distortion. It kinda seems like the mids are scooped, but they are a more aggressive frequency that is still cutting. More like a modded 800, getting into dsl territory. I honestly don't use it a much, but if I'm playing fast technical stuff tuned down a step...

WANT TO BUY...Sacred Groove modded SL+

I'm the guy who bought it. You did a great job with it. I'd sell it back but it had become one of my main sounds. it has the modern and attack switches and a few cap mods that I can tell. Sound about right?

GTO The Judge George Lynch Module Quick Review!

This is sn odd question for me considering I tend to be a gain nut, but how well does it clean up? I'm looking for something that can do some older Judas Priest style sounds, including that plexi clean. I'm guessing it probably shouldn't be a problem.

    NAMM 2011 Update

That would be very disappointing honestly. Even if they released them as something else. I've always though Scott is an awesome guitarist and has an ear for metal tones. I was quite excited to hear he was finally getting some signature gear out that wasn't a guitar. The 5153 is a nice amp, don't...

    Something Wicked has arrived!

Very cool sounds. It makes me even more excited to send out my modules to Rob. Sadly I can only afford one at a time. I definitely can tell the difference with the axetrak and the 12". However the axetrak seems to already have some of the standard bandwidth filtering going on. It is definitely...

Do you dial your modules similarly?

The only thing I dial in similarly with my modules (across the board) is a lot of midrange. I almost never have my mids below 6 or 7 let alone half. The only time this is not the case is if I am looking for a jangly clean sound. The Gain, highs and lows are where I change up the "sound" of the...

    Jaded Faith Mods

I am currently discussing a few mods with him at the moment. They will be my first modded modules that I get my self. Just send him a private message via the forum and tell him what you are looking for. He has a bunch of stuff and is willing to help you find the sound that will fit what you are...

Anyone have an RM50 Head or Combo I FOUND ONE

You posted on my thread about my rm50 head. I honestly would be interested. I'll pm you to discuss details.

    She's leaving.

I have an RM50 head (started it's life as a combo with it's previous owner.) Footswitch will be included. She has some JnJ 6L6GCs in her now, relatively new and only cranked to a real volume twice for about 2 hours each time. I'd say about an 8, 8.5 out of 10. Minor blems on the tolex, and the...
