If you want power for the AxeFX you should seriously consider a full-range power amp, rather than one tuned specifically for guitar like the RT2/50. The AxeFX is supposed to provide all aspects of the tone, including poweramp tone. Ideally, you'd just want to amplify the signal as evenly as...

The link regarding adding a 4th gain stage needs clarification. The first gain stage is in the amp/preamp, and is common across all modules in that amp/preamp. The modules have gain stages 2-4, plus cathode follower. Stages 2 and 3 are V1a/b, stage 4 is V2a, and the CF is V2b. My guess as...

C9 is .001u, which is stock. After looking closer at the pic, it doesn't look like it was changed or messed with. At first glance, it does look like it was changed though. To retain more low end, C9 can be increased in value. From .001u, try .002u to .004u. :wink:

I think you did understand it right. High gain mods (4 gain stages) are more likely to have a 500k pot, and everything else is likely to have a 1M pot. 1M is good for retaining as much signal as possible, and 500k is good leaking off some of the signal so not to "overload" the circuit. Some...
