Ok Im changing my tubes I have a matched quartet of sovtek 5881wxt and I have 2 jj e34Ls I thought I seen that you can mix tubes?
1. Where should I put the JJ's
2. Is it really gonna give me awesome tone?

My experience with RM100's were the middle pair (sockets 2 and 3) were the mid-dominant pair and that's where I would place the JJ's. 5881's or KT88's pair really nicely with them on the outside. Make sure to turn your bias pots all the way down before swapping them out and rebiasing them.

Yes, put the E34Ls in the middle.
I have them in the middle, too with 6L6s on the outside and love it.
I tried KT88, but it was to bassy for me in the bandmix (downtuned).

Same experiences as the others :) I tried my 5881's in the middle, but I just love that mix of EL34's in the middle :)
