That's a very easy reaction. We have more products that come from the USA here, the general rule that allways applies is "Price in $ = price in Euro". But the Randall stuff takes that price .. and than slaps a quarter on top of it!
If that is your take, fine. I see that the stuff I am interested in have different prices.
Les Paul Studio at Feedback ? 999,00
Les Paul Studio at Musician's Friend $ 799.00
200 currency units different.
Just an example. I know that some manufacturer's keep it one on one, but those are usually the people that have divisions here themselves, for example Yamaha. When they have an "importer" things change.
If you can repair the stuff yourself, be my guest and get them from anywhere you want. I don't like handling soldering irons and rummaging around between capacitors and such, so I leave that work to others.
paul525715: I have no idea where stuff comes from. Simple logic says about 99 % of the gear you buy comes from cheap labor countries in the Far East, and is (hopefully) assembled in the EU or US. If the assembly is done in the US other simple logic says that Randall pays import duties on the parts, assembles it for a fee, ships it to Europe where import duties are once again being extorted, and you will pay the final cost. If Randall on the other hand assembles in China, and ships it from there straight to the EU.... Then I wonder where the price hike comes from.
But... I am not their accountant, so no idea.
