OK+new deal/offer.
Terri is building two MOD50 amp chassis right now. One has the Heyboer transformers and one has a Heyboer power and a custom Mercury output transformer that was made for me long ago. These will both be for sale soon. Since we don't have the head or combo boxes in stock, this is the chance for you to choose any combination of custom Tolex and/or grill cloth in a combo or head version, with or without reverb. Both will come with your choice of any two current D/S modules. Price may vary "slightly" depending on materials, combo speaker etc. so email me for that info. If you are interested, go to www.mojotone.com and see the available Tolex and grill cloth. Anything can be done. Two tone or single color box. You decide. To purchase one of these, I would require $1,000 deposit and the balance upon completion. Takes abut 3 weeks (cabinet lead time) from the time we receive your deposit.

I'd be interested in a better head than my RM50 with better transformers, but I don't really want any new modules. Since I've spent a lot of time and money finding my favorite single channel custom modules I wouldn't need the dual modules either (though it would be nice for future options)

I've seen it discussed here and know I'm not alone.
I think what many here would buy instantly would be a four channel head, preferably 50 watt stacked 2 on 2 like the M4 preamp in a slightly taller (if needed) Mod50/ RM50 head box.

The brilliance of the MTS amps is versatility, but with so many great 4 channel amps on the market, my rig falls short in this area.
Most of us here on the forum own at least four modules but can't use them with out the RM4/ M4 through a power amp and IT"S JUST NOT THE SAME.
I don't know why but my rm50 sounds better than the RM100 or RM4 through VHT or MESA power.

I know it's wishful thinking, but they WOULD sell.

Can I take a chainsaw to the top 8 modules of the RM12??????????????

That's why I have an RM4, a RM50 head, Bruce's matchbox, and a 1 x 12"
speaker box. (the old RM50 combo cabinet)
I've actually used the two modules in the head as "boost pedals" going out the series output, through the match box, into the RM4 at "instrument boost level" and back into the series loop, still being able to use the reverb pan in the parallel loop.
Yes, the RM50 power section sounds better than the RM100.

How about the E2?????????????

I almost forgot about it. That would be the answer to my problem.

Bruce.... will they ever be available?
Are there any out there now?

The series and parallel send and return jacks are line level. So if you go out of the send jack (series or parallel) and into the front input jack of the amp there would, of course, be a huge level mismatch.
Bruce sold (and maybe still is) a box that allows you to change the levels, either up or down, inst. to line, line to inst. and anything in between.
So,
series out to the matchbox, out from matchbox to guitar input jack of RM4,
RM4 into matchbox, matchbox out to series return.
You have to play with all the levels. You can make it sound terrible if you just dime all the levels, way too much gain.

OK..how about this? I've reconsidered. I know many of you already have modules. Just listed on ebay.

Brand new, just built Egnater MOD50 all tube modular heads. Custom all black Tolex with Mojo Black Matrix grill cloth and chrome logo. Sorry, only chassis photos because the custom boxes are being built now. They will look fantastic. Terri is hand building two amps (photo) while we wait for the cabinets to be delivered. Will be ready to ship in a couple of weeks. One has our normal Heyboer transformers. The other has the Heyboer power transformer and a custom Mercury Magnetics output transformer that was custom made for me long ago.

BIN price listed of $1250 is without modules.
Add $375 each for modules. All models are available and are also brand new and built to order.
Built in spring reverb is available for $150 additional.
Footswitch is NOT included. Any simple MIDI pedal like a Rocktron MidiXchange or the Randall Four Button MIDI pedal from Guitar Center or Musicians Friend works perfectly.
Flat $35 shipping is only within the Continental US. Additional shipping cost outside of the US.

The mod50 head is tempting, but I still haven't heard anything in a while about the V2.
Is it totally dead or is there a chance of it being available?

You know, nothing sparks the imagination like a image, it would be cool to see some...
