Does Randall still make the RM80?

No. It's just an RM50 loaded with 6550 power tubes for 80 watts.

I just bought one; it will be here tomorrow. Another difference besides the tubes is that it is a 212 instead of a 112.

I really dont think that one was a scam, but the seller did copy the pics. I found some pics online from his user name and he had some gear pics with the Randall RM80 attached that looked exactly like the other one. I emailed him asking about more pics and he said he didnt have a camera, but he could shoot me some to my cell from his cell phone camera if I wanted.

I just didn't like how he kept bumping the price up. I wanted it for $350 :x

Well the description was taken word for word from DC Music/Proaudio. And the pictures were taken from the craigslist seller's photobucket. And it seemed kind of odd to me that the seller was raising the price; i don't think that is going to convince anyone to buy it more. He raised it three or four times b4 it ended. There were no bids on it, so i guess we'll never know if it really was a scam or not. But supposedly, the craigslist seller reported it.

Idk. The one on craigslist was a lot more convincing, and it turns out he was telling the truth. He sent me highly detailed pictures, and he stayed in contact with me. He got me a tracking number (although it took awhile). He says he works five days a week, is taking college classes, and records at night. So i gave him the benefit of the doubt and was patient in waiting for the tracking number.

I began to have my doubts, but he got it to me today and it is on its way. His email and photobucket id's are the same, "travofcville," and i found his name on the Indiana University, Bloomington site, so he was telling the truth about the college classes. And i know what its like to be overwhelmed by college work; i'm going through it right now. So i empathized with him.

So maybe the ebay thing wasn't a scam, but it sure looked like it. All i know is i finally have an MTS amp after 6-7 months of waiting and searching. I can finally get rid of my Line 6 Spider.

well if thats the case, then maybe it wasn't a scam. I asked a friend to contact the ebay seller about it, but he wouldn't do it. So i contacted the craigslist seller. And it all worked out in the end.

Well I just bought an Ultra Lead from that seller so am hoping it isn't a scam :-(

that is another thing i was suspisious of, b/c the craigslist seller was selling his RM80 with an Ultra Lead.

The seller just got another good feedback hit, so it seems as if he's legit. I just sent him an email asking for the pics from his camera phone. Wouldn't mind grabbin' a combo. I'm still waiting for my RT2/50 to arrive though!

Just for the record, received my Ultra Lead in perfect condition and on time. The eBay guy was an OK dude...definately not a scam...now to get a Pete Mark mod :lol: 8)

Well thats good. I'm glad it all worked out. Good luck with the mod! I'm debating whether to get the mark mod and loneclean or get a new guitar. but i guess i need power tubes and money b4 i start thinking about that. :lol:

i guess it is hard to say the same with my purchase b/c he was late with the tracking number and it came with dead fuses and tubes. But it got here. That's what counts. I just can't play it for another day or three . But i guess that is pretty good considering it was off of craigslist in a different city and state.
