Hi Mike...did you work on the XTC with scott from Sacred Groove?
Very impressive musical work BTW!! Check out his website folks

Hi Rod,

Thank you very much for the kind words. Long story short, I went to Scott personally for the MK22, Fish and Diablo. We worked together on all three modules with me being the "Ears" and Scott adding his electrical engineering expertise and ears. We went back and forth for months on each. And even though I don't receive any monetary compensation (and I would never do that - I was "Yoda" to Scott's "Scotty"), I'm extremely proud of the modules that he's produced. Personally, I think they're amazing!

I didn't have any input on the earlier Ecstasy's (that's ALL Scott), but I had major input on the LE, for better or worse!

With all that said, I am so appreciative of all our modding choices, whether it be Scott, Anthony, Trace or Rob. Long Live MTS! :)

One of the best if not most versatile modules I own. This thing does so many great tones it's crazy. Great work here.

I just received my SG Ecstasy LE and it's amazing in both Structure and Plexi modes. The new bass roll-off is extremely handy and it's easy to dial in classic Marshall Plexi tones with it and the 3-way Bright switch. It's extremely versatile but simple to dial in.

In a word, awesome! Thanks, Scott! :D

Mike,

Was the only upgrade on your LE the switch for Boost to the 3 way tight? Like to hear your comparison on your original version of the LE and the upgrade version, since my LE is like your first version.

In all honesty, you'd need to ask Scott. Mine's been back and forth five times for various reasons (twice because of something that happened in transport) so this is really the only version I've heard intact. But the Bass Switch has been modified twice and I'm really happy with the latest results. That *may* be the only difference but only Scott would know for sure.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

This one is a keeper for sure. Has anyone compared it to the JF? Maybe someone wants to send me their JF and I will do a comparison? HAR HAR. I have a lot of modules and this one takes the cake as far as options and available tones. Probably not as much for the super High Gain nuts but everything below that and then some.

Hard question for me to answer because I love the stocker. The modded ones add magic but the stocker was just fine for me. I would love to keep one in my arsenel but cant seem too. hahaha It used to be a very hated module around these parts but get a ton of praise these days.

Kapo_Polenton - there really isn't anything I don't like about it except maybe that SG is gone for a bit and I can't get another. On a serious note it really is a versatile module and I like all the tones I get out of it. I play lots of different styles and this gives me the options I need in one module to cover a major amount of ground. If I could name one thing I don't like it would be the same thing on all the modules and that is that the switches (options) are not foot switchable. Right now I have this a Stonerverb and a Fisch in one of my RM100's and I could gig very easily with it (if I thought it was reliable). If I could only have one module this might be it. Hard choice but I think the tonal options at hand really make this a great all around swiss army module. Remember I'm not doing the serious high gain just raunch and roll which this covers and more. If I want the "brootalz" I go to my Deliverance or Uber.

Here's a clip showing a Hilly, a Salvo, and a Bogner.

No offense but that's a horrible clip. The camera isn't stationary so there's a massive amount of phasing and comb filtering happening, so there's no way in the world to tell how each amp sounds.

They all sound awful.

Actually, I take offense to your comment. Please look past production fallacies and take it for what it is. It was a clip posted to help a classified post for a $150 sale (the price I paid for the module). As you know well, time is money. $0 profit = minimal time involved. Please direct your nitpicking towards my wife, who filmed it on her iPad.

Thanks for doing the XTC comparison clip - would love to see one with the Bogner and salvation side by side speakers facing the same way if you're able to.

I concur.. and throw in the Hilligan facing as well if you can. Good press for the sale!

I agree. Tomorrow evening it could be done, since I have to wake up in 6 hrs

Would you like both through the same cab, or just speakers facing the same way?

Sadly, we'll have to settle for iPad clips as I'd rather not spend much time editing and uploading. The Mrs. will keep it still next time.

A simple that's what she said would suffice. Hehe...

On another note, if someone is willing to donate a module or $100, I'd gladly get you a clip of a full band using all three examples in a production setting (including Real drums and vocals). No phasing, comb filtering, or dogs to get in the way! (oh, and one of the singers is a contestant on Biggest Loser)
