For all of you that were waiting for the E2 to be released in "early 2011", as promised as recently as late September - well you can stop holding your breath . . . now the word from Ian on any of the modular products being released is "this time next year . . . sorry for the delay".

Read it here for yourself: http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=86483&start=0

The ray of sunshine is the fact that they are actually busy with it, and let us know.

But come on, another year delay? :?
Then develop the E2, it's not that hard (half an M4 with 2 relays.. ) and update it when the new stuff comes along!
They showed the prototype and everything over a year ago! What the heck!?

Maybe I'm just hard to please, and I appreciate them letting their customers know, but this is so weird in terms of product development and placement.
Nightdare kind of hits the nail on the head there..

I find it pretty odd how complacent everyone seems to be over on the Rig-Talk thread in response to this latest news . . . I don't get it - the E2 was first announced about 3 years ago, wasn't it?

My guess is that the current line up is selling well (Tweaker and Renegade) and along with that comes new problems. They are a small company and just don't have the time to find production facilities and tweak out issues with said production overseas.

I agree that it is taking too long but it's better to be done right than being done halfway just to keep us happy. By the way, I didn't read the post that was linked so I may be off base here.

If those product are selling well then they are earning more money, that means they could hire another person to take care of such things, or take up other tasks which frees up more time for Bruce and co. to be working on the development.

Announcing something 3 years before it goes on sale is also not the best technique IMO.

I work for a small business. We have been hammer almost out of existence by the past three years. Banks that at one time would have
extended some, reasonable credit to a business operating account,
simply do not. What's this got to do with Randall? If they're like most small business, a marketing mistake could cause them a serious financial
shortfall. They have to look at whats selling and produce accordingly.
I've obviously never seen their sales figures, but, I would tend to think
the MTS line is not their "bread and butter."

I think that the majority of people these days who actually are buying amps other than the high end stuff by Bogner, Soldano, or the boutique amps, simply don't have the cash to buy the MTS line. They're buying used or looking at something cheaper. It's the economy. They say we're in recovery, but people are still losing jobs, and soon again homes. And the jobs that do become available are low paying (i.e. -- minimum wage no benefits) and still you've got 500 people applying for 5 positions.

It's not going to change until American business stops exporting jobs overseas for the cheap labor. As an economic power we are the old Soviet Union. It's cheaper to build a new manufacturing facility in China than it is to update a rotting manufacturing building in the U.S.

Forget amps. It's time to stockpile food.

You're right. But the ironic thing is even the MTS is being produced overseas. I was just in Southeast Asia and everything is being made over there, even BMW had a plant there.
