I keep reading there is a gap when changing presets..anybody ever compare this gap to an original Gmajor??? I wonder if its worse than that equal or better.
any info is helpful.

I didn't have an original G Major when I had my G Major 2 but there is a little bit of lag. It varies depending on what you're doing. Sometimes there's a delay for effects to start too which can be annoying. Over at the TC Electronics forum they've found some ways to minimize it, but I didn't keep mine long.

understandable, in this day and age, latency in an FX proccessor means the manufacturer makes absolute CRUD

My Zoom 9150 didn't have lag, Boss Gx700 didn't have lag, my Marshall JFX didn't have lag and neither does my intellifex
all of these are close to, or over 10 years old

One can argue FX quality has improved, but really, the budget boxes skimp on audio quality as well

This is why I havent bought a Gmaj2
I have Gmaj1 and its good..but the build quality is very shoddy and if Tc is gonna keep using inferior pots and encoders...I cant continue buying their stuff..if thats thats the case.
and latencey? Cmon Tc...you should know we count on the gear to work when we step on it.

The only time I have experienced lag issues is when switching the fx routing type (i.e. series to parallel) between presets. I changed the global setting to either parallel or semi parallel and have not had any issues since. Great unit for my needs.
