Just got a 1086...

All my good deals have been turning into duds lately. I finally get my RT2/50 running....

and now my 1086 that I just opened a few hours ago is starting to lose volume. It was sounding great at first! It took me awhile to tweak it, but it's a really nice high gain module. Then, throughout the night the volume on it just starts dropping off. I have it cranked all the way up and it's BARELY coming through. All the other modules are blasting, but the volume on the 1086 is just not having it.

Thoughts? Advice? Ideas?

Could be the tubes...or the rear contacts...have you tried it in a different slot that you know is working?

I jumped the gun a bit....right after I posted this thread, I changed the preamps out and did the ol' Nintendo fix (blew some dust out of the circuit)

Works good now

I'm totally digging it. I held off on it for awhile, just because I'm weary about "signature" modules, but this one is the beez kneez! I think it's becoming my favorite high gainer :twisted:
