JKD,
Have you ever run both the Egnater and the Randall rig together at the same time? Man, I don't think there a tone in the world you can't get with those two together, Very nice rig.

I don't have an AB/Y box...I really should given I have 3 amps now (incl. the M4.)

You know, as much as I love the Egnater tones (EG3/4/5 especially)..I still feel like the Randall is my 'go to' amp.

The MOD50 adds a dimension in tone compared with the RM50HB but is it $1000 more dimension? I dunno..... certainly the half power mode and dual channels of the Egnater are worth paying for though :D

EDIT: I wanted to add that Egnater customer service is also out of this world in a good way.....pretty much support for life (within reason) it seems.

Nice looking 4x12's! Interesting color choice, but looks really good! Did you refinish/build them? What are they loaded with?
Thanks ,I built them from scratch and loaded one with Governors and one with Private Jacks.

How bad is the heat for an RT2/50 and an M4? I want to put them all in one case with a tuner for easy transport. Is it out of hand? Anybody have any problems?

You shouldn't have problems with that setup.
I have a VHT 2/90/2 with KT88's sitting right under two Egnater M4's, and the rest of the rack loaded with gear; no heat problems.
If you're worried about it, a cheap clip on fan can help ease your mind, clamping it in back.

After years of having way too much gear, here is my current "Back to Basics" Rig:

Guitars: ESP Horizon NTII BKAQ Lefty and LTD Deluxe EC1000VB Lefty(with custom switching and JH3 Graphics) :)

Amp: Randall RM100LB Lynch Box Head with Blackface, KH2 and KH3 Modules. BF for cleans, KH2 for Rhythm and KH3 for leads. Randall 412 Vintage 30's Cab.

Here's my latest rack setup...

rack.jpg

One of my tubes in my VHT went microphonic, so I'm now using my Mesa 2:100 till I get a new tube...also I have went back to using my G-Major for effects in this rack since I've been using my GSP1101 with my RM100 head.

Jim, are you doing the 4CM with the GSP1101 and your RM100?

I have a 1101 and Control 2 on there way and am looking for any suggestions on running with my RM100. Thx

Actually, I've been trying it a few different ways; haven't quite decided exactly which way I like best so far.
I'm probably gonna end up sticking with the 4CM so I can use some tones out of the 1101 as well...It's got some much nicer clean tones than are possible with modules.
I plan on working on my setup today since I have the day off; so if I find something that works awesome, I'll let ya know.

Here's my latest incarnation of my rig...now running in stereo.

rack5.jpg

Signal is Guitar -> Wireless -> Wah -> Axess Electronics BS-2 split to two outputs.

Each output is then fed into two Axess Electronics GRX4's.

In the loops of one GRX4 are one Egnater M4 and a Boss GL100 for clean tones and in the other loops of the second GRX4 is the other Egnater M4 and the Digitech GSP1101 (using for both effects and tones sometimes).

I've then got each GRX4 running into separate TC Electronic G-Majors.
Each G-Major is then fed into each side of the Mesa 2:100 power amp...feeding four Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12's.

Yesterday I swapped out the 2:100 for a Mesa 20/20 and believe it or not, I like it much better! Now, to fix the hum in one side of my VHT 2/90/2 and I'll go back to that probably - KT88's are my favorite.

I've been playing with some pedals in the loops of the GRX4's, but with the G-Majors and the GSP1101, there's not too many effects that I can't already get in rack form. Fun stuff though.
Sounds MASSIVE when you combine the Egnater EG5 and the Egnater ERECT in stereo.
