Hi does anyone one else get a short delay between changing channels on the RM100 via the midi footswitch??? I'm thinking it's because it's a midi controlled footswitch it has a bit of delay like the line 6 amps? If so, thats definately not cool of Randall, should have just made it a normal wired footswitch... Hope fully I'm wrong???

On my RM4 there is no delay. I can switch channel in the middle of a song without any problem.

How much of a delay are we talking about?

I'm talkin only a small delay but it's there and I don't like it... Maybe a quarter of a second?

Anyone??? Noone has got back to me from Randall support yet... I read that you can fix it by using a different chip in the head or something which decreases the midi delay time???

I've got the same thing going on with my RM100. I haven't contacted anyone about it yet but I know exactly what your talking about. Its not a huge lag but its defenitely enough to be noticeable in the middle of a song. There is probably a mod that can be done and it may be on this forum site somewhere but I haven't looked. If you hear find out anything let me know.

Well if someone from randall would get back to me I could tell you... I emailed them a week ago!!! HEY RANDALL GUYS PLEASE HELP US!!!

Something I learned quickly about Randall is that they must not know how to use there e-mail. You might as well give them a ring if you want information.

I get this too, and it's been a real pain. I seem to remember a post like this from a while back, and if I remember correctly the people who were using non-Randall midi switchers were fine, but those of us using the midi footswitch that came with the amp were experiencing the delay. I don't have any way to confirm this, though, since I only have the standard Randall pedal.

There is no delay on mine, I press the switch and it switches imeditly (sp)

I never had an issue with the footswitch on mine, it would change the channel instantly. Guess I got lucky there... yeah there are MANY threads on here about Randall's customer support being a tad low. They need to work on having an employee there who actually reads and answers emails. If you call you MIGHT get someone, however I'm not sure who it is they have working their customer service, but they USUALLY have no idea how to help you. They need to have someone working for them who actually knows this stuff, and has experience with using them! Ah well don't want to make this into a Randall bashing thread... all I can say is I went Egnater and I'm glad I did! :p

evhwolfie... What switch you got? and have you tried switching channels while still playing, like strum continuously while switching? I get about a quarter second delay, it sucks ***!!! Makes me not even wanna play through this **** thing.... Totally fucks up parts of songs! YO RANDALL SUPPORT READ THIS FRIGGIN THREAD AND ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS!!! I'm sick of trying to get answers off you people.... If it involves changing a chip or whatever let us know!!!!!!!!!! I emailed randall almost 2 weeks ago, still havnt got a reply! Customer support 000000000 piss poor!!!

When I had the RM100 there was a delay with the Randall footswitch, and also with my Axess FX-1. It drove me nuts. My M4 switches instantly with the FX-1.
It's something in the RM100.
