Tredplate tubes??

Anyone have any recommendations for tubes for the tredplate module?? I just got it used and it has eden?? tubes in it. I was thinking mesas of some JJs... but I don't know. Any help would be great!!

Any tube recommendations for the RM4 I have three JJs in the back but have not tried any others. Thanks

I have a Recto, and have a pair of Ruby's I actually really like in it. If they popped, I would probably try 9gen Chinese and/or Tung Sol reissue. Would like to try some Mesa premiums in there as well... just for S&G's

I did a glowing review on my Treadplate by Pete if you search...I put him up there with Einstein with the tone I get from this module- and I still love it many months later! + the art work is way cool

Pretty much love the Chinese c8/c9 in these...the Eden may be re-branded JJ .. can't remember...had a pairm they were either worn out or just bad sounding :-/

I think my Grail has Ruby 12ax7c and a high gain c9.

Ok, thanks for all the tube choices!! I am going to try some Mesas I have lying around here, and I have some EHs in my blackface mod.. maybe try those too. I am also going to order a set of chinese tubes today! Thanks again!!

Anyone have anything for the blackface?? I was thinking rubys?? I have never really had or delt with the rubys... So anyone??

I just did a bunch of searches, there are spotty posts about "which tube for this module" but it's all over the place. I'm going to start a new thread suggesting this- I think there is a need for at least a sticky, if not something more than just a post that compiles preamp tube recommendations for the various modules. Maybe a table/chart that indicates different suggestions for more/less gain, getting tone closer to different amp models, etc.
