Whistling feedback on new Mr. Scary?

I'm getting a whistling feedback on a new Mr. Scary module. The settings are:

1:00 gain
3:00 lo
3:00 mid
2:00 hi
2:00 master
bright on

Could this just be a bad tube?

COuld be a bad tube..that's an easy test

Other thing is to make sure the module is screwed in..have had squealing and feedback related to that before...another easy fix if so

I had three preamp tubes on my 5150 II go microphonic right out of the box. It is possible to have that issue.

DO NOT over tighten the screws -- they will snap.

swap out he preamp tubes and see if it goes away.
