Its been a while since I have had an amp w/out a built in solo boost volume control. In the past I have used an EQ set to boost or some other clean boost type of pedal to bump up volume for solos w/out changing gain level or tone. I understand the Mod50 has a line level only loop so many of the pedals I have used will not work.
So has anyone found a stomp box form boost that is line level that will do what I want? I know there are some loop gadget type things, but just wanted to see if there was a one box simple solution these days.

Maybe this one? I think this is what I last used in my Marshall DSL before I went to amps that had built in boosts. Sounds like this might handle the line level coming in?

Thanks,

a Morley Little Alligator in the loop works well. You can set a minimum volume so that heel down is for rhythm playing and toe down for lead breaks.

I use the Ebtech Line Level Shifter. They have two models...a "brick" (the one I have) and a rack unit. Don't mistakenly get the Hum Eliminator. The LLS will also eliminate hum, but the Hum Eliminator won't shift your levels. I say this because they look almost identical, and others have bought one thinking it was the other.

Not cheap , but Palmer builds good stuff
