So I got my RM22 last year, found one for sale on Reverb and it was NOS. Ever since I pulled it out of the box, the boost feature hasn't done anything. I see the boost light for the active channel and can hear a soft 'click', but no change in volume or tone at all. That doesn't sound right...

Occasionally, my RM100 will start making this 'tock...tock...tock...tock' sound, which I can usually kill by cycling the power switch. It mostly seems to happen after coming out of standby. Doesnt matter what module is selected, and this happens with or without a guitar plugged in. Any ideas...

How does the Ultra Lead differ from the Ultra and UltraXL? There's not much info on it, but from what I gather it's not even related. Anyone have any more information on this mod?

From what Ive read, the Kirk Hammet modules (KH2, KH3)? Im looking for a very cutting and dry tone, something like a VHT but with more saturation.

I see the modern module is going for pretty cheap used - what's this module based on? How's it compare to the newer high gain stull like the Ultra's, KH's, etc?

Most of the mods involve swapping out resistors/caps with higher quality or different value - is finding out what each component does just a matter of experimentation? How do you know which ones are in the audio signal path?

Capacitors, resistors, push/pull knobs, etc...where's the best place to find them?

I havent tried modding one of my MTS modules yet, but I notice most mods call for changes to capacitor/resistor values. Has anyone tried using variable trimpots or switches?
